Kevin Yeaman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Kevin Yeaman joined Dolby Laboratories as Chief Financial Officer in 2005 and became its President and CEO in 2009. Kevin brings strong leadership, experience in rapidly changing technology industries and an ability to thrive in dynamic environments to this role.
As Dolby’s CFO, Kevin completed the company’s transition from a private to a public company and helped close and integrate key acquisitions that were instrumental in expanding Dolby’s portfolio of technologies into broader audio applications and new video opportunities. Kevin also built Dolby’s financial infrastructure to pave the way for future growth across the company and its subsidiaries. Throughout his tenure at Dolby, Kevin has been an important leader in virtually every aspect of the business including setting the company’s strategic direction, expanding into new digital entertainment markets and improving operations.
Prior to coming to Dolby, Kevin spent eight years at E.piphany, an enterprise software company. He took that company through its early stages as a technology start-up as its Chief Financial Officer. Before E.piphany, Kevin was with Informix Software, Inc. (now part of IBM) as Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations supporting the company’s sales organization. Before Informix, he managed audit services, mergers and acquisitions and initial public offerings for both high technology start-up companies as well as multi-billion dollar corporations in Silicon Valley and London while at KPMG LLP. Kevin holds a BS degree in commerce from Santa Clara University.
Mark Anderson, Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Mark Anderson is responsible for global legal compliance for Dolby Laboratories. Prior to joining Dolby, Mark worked as partner and head of the Commercial Law Department and the Business Transactions Practice Group for Farella Braun + Martel in San Francisco. During his 15 years at that firm, Mark handled corporate and securities transactions for public and private companies, including Dolby. Mark has also worked as a CPA with a Big Four accounting firm and as a vice president and corporate controller at a real estate investment company.
Mark holds a BS degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and obtained his JD degree with highest honors from Golden Gate University School of Law, where he graduated first in his class. He is a member of the California bar and is a certified public accountant.
Eric Cohen, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development
As Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, Eric Cohen oversees corporate development, mergers and acquisitions activities, and corporate strategy for Dolby.
Eric brought to Dolby, after 30 years in investment banking, diverse experience advising clients in strategic transactions and financings across a broad range of industries. For the past 10 years, Eric was a Managing Director and senior member of the technology investment banking team at Cowen and Company, where he headed the firm’s digital media, Internet, and new media business. Eric founded Cowen and Company’s digital media practice in 2001 when the sector was first emerging in the financial markets. Prior to that, Eric held the position of Managing Director at J.P. Morgan, where he helped to establish its West Coast investment banking practice. Eric also worked for 13 years at Credit Suisse First, helping to drive that firm’s growth throughout the 1980s.
Eric holds a BS degree from Brown University and an MBA degree from Stanford University.
Andrew Dahlkemper, Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Andrew joined Dolby Laboratories in January 2009. As Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Andrew is responsible for leading and executing Dolby’s human resources programs, practices, and operations worldwide.
Before taking this role at Dolby Laboratories, Andrew served as Executive Vice President, Human Resources at BEA Systems, where he was responsible for leading the HR function for the company with 4,100 employees in 38 countries. Prior to BEA, Andrew was the Vice President of HR Operations and then Vice President of International HR for Electronic Arts, where he lived and worked in Geneva, Switzerland. Andrew also held human resource management positions with Citibank, the Frito-Lay division of PepsiCo, and Johnson & Johnson.
Andrew holds a BA degree in communications from Gannon University.
Murray Demo, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Murray Demo comes to Dolby with more than 20 years of financial and strategic business management experience. As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for the company’s finance, investor relations, information technology, business operations, real estate, and facilities organizations.
Murray most recently served as Executive Vice President and CFO at LiveOps, Inc., an on-demand contact center software and call center outsourcing company. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President and CFO at Postini, Inc., an on-demand security compliance software company now part of Google Inc. Before Postini, Murray spent ten years with Adobe Systems Inc., where his last role was Executive Vice President and CFO. During his career at Adobe Systems, the company’s annual revenues grew from approximately $0.8 billion to over $2.5 billion. As Adobe’s CFO for six years, Murray was responsible for managing the global finance, investor relations, information services, purchasing, facilities, supply chain management, and order management organizations.
Murray sits on the Board of Directors of Citrix Systems, Inc. He holds a BA degree in business economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MBA degree from Golden Gate University.
Ramzi Haidamus, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing
As Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Ramzi Haidamus leads the company global sales and marketing functions for Dolby Laboratories by implementing overall go-to-market plans and partnering with Dolby's Products and Technology group to develop product strategy. His responsibilities include overseeing product marketing, corporate marketing, business development, and sales, as well as field operations and customer support worldwide.
Previous to his current role, Ramzi was Senior Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Division. In this position, he was responsible for the strategic direction of the development, marketing, and licensing of Dolby technologies that are used in a wide range of consumer electronics. Before his position as head of the Consumer Division, Ramzi served as the President and General Manager of Dolby's wholly-owned subsidiary Via Licensing Corporation, which he guided from a small start-up to a profitable, world-class patent licensing organization. Prior to launching Via Licensing in 2002, Ramzi spent several years in key positions at Dolby, including Director of Business Development, Technology and Business Strategist, and Licensing Manager. Managing and administering licensing programs for the company, Ramzi played a pivotal role in the successful adoption of Dolby's technologies in open standards, such as DVD-Video and DVD-Recordable. He was a key player in the successful launch of the DVD format, which won Dolby a joint Emmy Award in 1999.
Before joining Dolby, Ramzi worked at Stanford Research Systems for seven years. He holds a BS in electrical engineering and an MS in computer engineering from the University of the Pacific, and he has completed advanced coursework at Stanford University, the University of California at Berkeley, and the Center for Creative Leadership. Ramzi is a member of the Licensing Executive Society.
Michael Rockwell, Executive Vice President, Products and Technologies
Michael Rockwell brings a 20-year history of technology and engineering experience to Dolby's management team. In his role as Executive Vice President, Products and Technologies, Mike oversees the company's development of new technologies and products, which include managing the global engineering, manufacturing, technology, and research teams.
Before joining Dolby, Mike was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Avid Technology, Inc., where he was responsible for determining and shaping the technical strategy across Avid's entire product line. Prior to his appointment as CTO, Mike served as Chief Architect of Software Engineering at Digidesign, which was acquired by Avid's audio division. While at Digidesign, he served as the technical lead for its flagship product, Pro Tools. Before Digidesign, Mike was the president and owner of a software business and audio/visual production company, Rockwell Digital. Early in his career as a freelance recording engineer, Mike worked on projects such as The Wonder Years, Cadillac Man, and Cocktail.
