Dolbycast Listener FAQs

What's the best way to listen to Dolbycast?

About 80% of our listeners subscribe to Dolbycast using iTunes ®. It's free and a great way to stay current with Dolbycast as well as other great podcasts. Some of our favorites are HT Guysengadget and Diggnation.

Those of you who already have iTunes can easily subscribe to Dolbycast right now. Those without it should first download iTunes.

What does the Subscribe RSS button on the main Dolbycast page mean?

You can also subscribe to Dolbycast without iTunes. Google Reader and Bloglines are two popular subscription services. These allow you to subscribe to podcasts and other media, like blogs and news. Both are free.

For more information on subscriptions and RSS, we recommend these 2 excellent resources:

Common Craft's excellent 3.5 minute video: RSS in Plain English (transcript here).

Wikipedia's RSS entry offers offers a more thorough, somewhat technical description.

Can I get on an email list for Dolbycast?

Sorry, no. We haven't implemented that yet.

I want to find out more about something I heard on Dolbycast, but I don't have time to listen to the entire episode again.

Try skimming the transcripts that are listed on the main Dolbycast page. These include links to much of the information we thought Dolbycast listeners might find useful.

The transcript I want to read is not here.

We add transcripts as soon as we can, but no earlier than 1 week after the related podcast episode is published. Please try back again!
