Dolby and its partners will showcase Dolby technology in partner products and the immersive surround sound experience that broadcasters and content creators using these products deliver to consumers across all screens including TV, PC, Tablets and Mobiles.
Dolby demos on the Axon Digital Design stand - Stand No S2 – B31 – Sheikh Saeed 2 Hall
Dolby will highlight Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Mobile in this demo. Dolby will demonstrate how Dolby Digital Plus delivers an immersive surround sound experience to consumer’s living room. This demo will feature content encoded using Dolby Digital Plus being delivered to a living room through a 5.1 surround sound home theatre system. Dolby will also showcase how content created using Dolby Digital Plus when played out of a mobile phone featuring Dolby Mobile, delivers a virtualised surround sound experience to consumers. Additionally, the demo will also feature content encoded using Dolby Digital Plus being played out in 5.1 surround sound from a mobile phone connected to a Home theatre system through HDMI.
Dolby demo on the TSL stand – Stand No S2 – B28 – Sheikh Saeed 2 Hall
Dolby and TSL will demonstrate TSL equipment monitoring the Dolby signal that is included in the broadcast stream. The content being played will be encoded using Dolby Digital Plus and the demo will cover monitoring the signal in stereo off the TV screen and multichannel audio using headphones. Additionally, Dolby will demonstrate the same Dolby Digital Plus encoded content being played out on a Tablet and Mobile phone which incorporate Dolby Mobile which produces virtualised surround experience to the end user.
Dolby Demo on the HHB Communications stand – Stand S1- B7 – Sheikh Saeed 1 Hall
Dolby demonstration on the HHB Communications stand will focus on the Dolby Media Emulator and the reference decoder DP568. The demo will showcase how the Dolby Media Emulator – A software emulation tool that enables content creators to measure loudness and emulate how the mix they have created would sound when played back on a variety of playback devices. The DP568, Dolby Professional reference decoder, conveniently enables monitoring of all Dolby broadcast technologies, audio metadata and measurement of programme loudness using Dialogue Intelligence, ITU BS 1770 – 2 and EBU R-128. The DP568 demo will also feature a demo of audio description for the visually impaired.
Dolby Demo on the twofour54 FZ - LLC Stand – S2 – G21 – Sheikh Saeed 2 Hall
Dolby will demonstrate Professional Reference Monitor PRM-4200 on the twofour54 stand. The PRM-4200 is the premium colour reference monitor rated as one of the best by organisations such as the EBU. The PRM-4200 provides the blackest of blacks and the deepest of the colours of all monitors available in the market. PRM-4200 has been involved in creation of some of the biggest blockbusters in Hollywood.
