Making the Connection

Simply connect the digital audio output on your set-top box or HDTV with integrated tuner to a digital audio (S/PDIF) input on your A/V receiver. Typically, you would use either a single coaxial or optical cable. Increasingly, HDTV and IPTV set-top boxes are available with HDMI™ connections that can also carry a digital audio signal.
