2010—Secret Preview

In 2010, we worked with a director—well in advance of the Festival—to produce the presentaiton for a new 3D movie. Our engineers looked at a mix of sources (HD-cam, digital cinema, Blu-ray) and made sure that all spec ratios and source changes worked properly. The screening went well and the movie looked great!

2009—Disney's A Christmas Carol

In 2009, we supported Disney's A Christmas Carol screening. We helped to build a new, temporary cinema, supplied and calibrated the 3d system (Dolby 3D), and aligned the sound system. A fantastic project!

Cannes 2008—Journey to the Centre of the Earth, Cinema Olympia

This was a great job. We equipped the Olympia cinema in the heart of cannes with 3D digital cinema technology. We installed a 3D-capable digital projector, a Dolby cinema server and backup, and then aligned the picture and sound for QC purposes. In addition, we supplied 3D glasses. From set-up to rehearsal and screening, we achieved this in 12 hours with several breaks when other films were shown from the 35 mm projector.

Cannes 2007—Year of the HD-Cam SR Deck

We worked with a wide variety of production companies—and budgets—and many different formats, including a 4:4:4 RGB, 4:2:2 TCbCr, 23.98 to 50i, and good old digital beta.
