Atmos Releases

Dolby Atmos is receiving strong Hollywood adoption with an increasing number of titles being released in Dolby Atmos. DreamWorks Animation feature Rise of the Guardians will be released in Dolby Atmos. In addition, Warner Bros. announced that The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be released in Dolby Atmos, with two more titles – Gravity and Pacific Rim, receiving the Dolby Atmos mix for 2013.

Rise of the Guardians is the latest film to implement Dolby's new cinema sound technology demonstrating the tremendous momentum Dolby's innovation is gaining in Hollywood. The film will be mixed in Dolby Atmos for a variety of languages including: Russian, Norwegian, Danish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Castilian Spanish, German and Italian.

With Rise of the Guardians, DreamWorks Animation becomes the fourth Hollywood studio to date to adopt the Dolby Atmos mix. Over 15 titles are already expected to be released in Dolby Atmos next year with a mixture of Hollywood and European productions.
