• Dolby Digital Media Adapter DMA8Plus

The Dolby Digital Media Adapter DMA8Plus provides digital-to-analog conversion of a digital cinema system's audio to equip your existing cinema processor for digital cinema.

    Dolby Digital Media Adapter DMA8Plus

    • Flexible Inputs and Outputs

Four digital inputs accept up to eight channels of PCM digital audio as well as Dolby Digital and Dolby E bitstreams. Analog audio outputs are calibrated to ensure a straightforward interface with your cinema's existing sound processor.

    • Easy Setup

The Dolby DMA8Plus is easy to set up via a laptop computer. It can be controlled by your cinema's automation system via standard GPI/O automation, serial, or Ethernet commands. You can also use the setup software for interactive remote monitoring.

    • External Source Compatibility

The Dolby DMA8Plus includes a switched “through” connection for external film audio decoders or six-channel analog sources such as the Dolby Digital Adapter DA20. This allows the DMA8Plus and DA20 to share the cinema processor's six-channel input format.

    • Adjustable Global Audio Delay

An adjustable global audio delay is assigned to each digital input to ensure that sound and picture are synched during digital presentations. Different delays can be assigned to different inputs, providing flexibility for alternative content sources.

    • Convenient Front-Panel Design

Four digital input buttons and one film pass-through button provide simple manual control. Indicators verify digital signal presence, bitstream format, Decode mode, and analog output signal presence. A USB port provides a reliable PC connection.

The Dolby® Digital Media Adapter DMA8Plus is a practical, flexible solution for equipping your sound system for digital cinema, onscreen advertising, special events, and other program sources using digital audio.

The DMA8Plus provides a comprehensive audio interface while its automation intelligence maintains a seamless fit with your cinema processor. The product design is elegant yet rugged and compact, occupying only one rack-unit space.
