The Dolby® Lake® Processor provides exclusive, patent-pending front-panel metering and control through our new Portal technology. Each of the four front-panel Portals can represent multiple channels of level and limiter metering. Portals also provide user-configurable text labels and mute controls.
The popular Dolby Lake Controller is also available for a wireless tablet PC, so you can listen and optimize from any seat in the house. The software allows instant adjustments to a distributed network of processors. Our preconfigured networking package provides you with a total system solution.
The Portals
Each Portal on the processor can be configured to show multiple channels of audio on the same display. Two concentric rings provide metering. In the primary metering mode, the internal ring shows level for each channel of audio shown on that Portal; the outer ring displays limiting activity.
Additionally, the Portals can be reconfigured for a variety of unconventional metering displays. For example, they can show available headroom rather than level. Sixteen soft buttons surround each Portal. These are used for muting and other soft functions when controlling the Dolby Lake Processor from the front panel.
In addition to input and output metering, the Portals can display a navigation interface for moving through multiple menus. Buttons at each Portal enable adjustment of various parameters directly from the front panel. Three system-wide buttons on the front panel switch the front-panel functions.
