Dolby DP600 Program Optimizer

The Dolby DP600 Program Optimizer offers extensive capabilities for working with audio files. It is available in two versions: the DP600 base configuration and the DP600-C.
Here's a sample of what both configurations can do:
- Correct audio loudness, intelligently and automatically
- Analyze and correct the dialnorm metadata parameter in Dolby E and Dolby Digital bitstreams
- Provide intelligent and automatic speech-based loudness normalization for both PCM and MPEG-1 LII stereo audio files
- Provide file-based program upmixing functionality via an optional software upgrade
Additionally, the DP600-C can:
- Encode and decode all Dolby broadcast codecs (including Dolby Digital, Dolby E, and Dolby Digital Plus) and MPEG-1 LII stereo audio
- Transcode to/from any of the supported codecs, including Dolby E, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and MPEG-1 LII
- Provide a quality-preserving single-step multichannel transcoder between Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus
Loudness correction by the Dolby DP600 is nondestructive to the original Dolby coded audio files and preserves the original dynamic range of the programs. For speed and convenience, all operations are file-based and occur faster than real time. And the user interface is easy to learn.
