Dolby Cat. No. 778 Digital Input/Output Card

A CP650 accessory, the Dolby® Cat. No. 778 adds digital audio input and output capabilities to the Dolby CP650 Cinema Processor, making it particularly appropriate for studio applications requiring digital throughput. It also provides Dolby Digital Surround EX™ decoding, and decodes Dolby Digital bitstreams from non-film sources such as DVDs, digital video recorders, digital cinema servers, and digital television broadcasts.

When installed in a CP650 with version 2.2 or newer software, the Cat. No. 778 also provides Unity Gain and Noise Floor Optimization features. Unity Gain maintains the original level of digital signals as they pass through the CP650, while Noise Floor Optimization maximizes each channel's headroom based on its B-chain settings to provide the lowest possible noise floor within the CP650.

Once the Cat. No. 778 has been installed, its digital inputs and outputs are accessed via the Option Card I/O 25-pin female D-connector on the CP650's rear panel.

Note: Installation of the Cat. No. 778 automatically disables the CP650's analog outputs.
