This year's tournament has an environmental theme. In 2006, US recycling, including composting,
diverted 82 million tons of material from disposal.
Look for our efforts throughout the tournament and our carpool incentive.
A recycling bin will be available for all of your old/unused/broken electronics, including cell phones and old batteries. All e-waste collected will be taken to the appropriate recycling station for disposal. E-waste recyclers can recycle, reuse, or sell as much as 99 percent of all materials used in electronics.
Carpool Incentive
If you carpool, pull right up to the bag drop-off point and unload your bags. Each person will receive a sleeve of Titleist Pro V1 balls and will be entered into a raffle to win a hybrid club.
On average, carpooling only once a week for a year would keep 252 pounds of pollution (carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, sulfur dioxides) out of our atmosphere. Each person doing a little bit makes a huge difference.
