Sound at the Oscars®

At the heart of great cinema is great sound. It's a critical element for the storyteller, and a huge part of what moves us. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences recognizes the importance of sound with Academy Awards® for Achievement in Sound Mixing and Achievement in Sound Editing. For 35 years, every film that earned nominations in these categories has been released with Dolby® technologies.
