Wu Xia: The Story
Papermaker Liu Jin-xi (Donnie Yen) lives a seemingly normal life with his wife Ayu (Tang Wei) and two sons in a remote village. One day, Liu is caught up in the death of two notorious criminals, and the court sends the eccentric detective Xu Bai-jiu (Takeshi Kaneshiro) to investigate.
A martial-arts fanatic, Xu is convinced that this is no accident. How could an unarmed papermaker defeat two trained killers?
Curiosity and determination eventually lead him to discover Liu’s true identity: he is Tang Long, the second in command of the evil clan known as 72 Demons.
After learning Liu Jin-xi’s whereabouts, the Master of the 72 Demons threatens to wipe out both Tang Long's family and the whole village.
