Advanced 96k Upsampling
When it comes to original content recorded at 48k, Dolby has taken further steps to ensure clearer, more natural sound by implementing a proven upsampling process developed by Meridian Audio.
This upsampling technique applies higher sample rates and increased playback quality through the application of an advanced apodizing filter that masks undesirable digital artifacts (referred to as pre-ringing) introduced by analog-to-digital (A-to-D) conversion downstream in the recording process. The result is a cleaner high-sampling frequency signal that produces optimized playback quality from your home theater system.
