• Dolby Media Emulator for Metadata Authoring

Dolby Media Emulator is a software tool that provides metadata authoring and emulation for Dolby broadcast audio formats. Paired with popular digital audio workstations, Dolby Media Emulator enables you to hear how your mix will sound when it's played back through a TV or set-top box.

A Key Tool for Mastering, Metadata Authoring, and Broadcasting

Its ability to configure and control the monitoring environment and evaluate metadata parameters makes the Dolby® Media Emulator an essential product for postproduction, DVD, and DTV facilities that master, author, or broadcast program material with Dolby surround sound audio.

Dolby Media Emulator also simplifies the monitoring of metadata for use with Dolby Digital Plus™, Dolby Digital, Dolby E, and HE AAC.

Dolby Media Emulator runs as an Avid® Pro Tools® AAX native or VST plug-in for popular programs such as Steinberg® Nuendo® or Sony® Sound Forge™.

    Dolby Media Emulator Capabilities

With the Dolby Media Emulator, you can:

    • Monitor in real time exactly what your customer ultimately hears
    • Evaluate metadata that has been created throughout the production, postproduction, and distribution process
    • Determine the dialogue normalization (dialnorm) value using the ITU-R BS.1770-2/1770-3 algorithms with the included meter
