The Dolby Program Optimizer DP600 is an innovative professional audio platform that provides a file-based workflow solution for loudness correction, audio conversion, and upmixing.
The Dolby DP600 provides automated loudness and metadata correction, audio format conversion, and upmixing in broadcast and OTT file-based workflows.
The Dolby® Program Optimizer DP600 includes the world's first intelligent audio analysis and automated loudness normalization engine. It has the ability to encode, decode, convert, and transcode Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus™, and Dolby E.
The Dolby DP600 also features a unique algorithm for upmixing your legacy two-channel audio for 5.1-channel delivery. These features, along with support for many of the most common media file and audio formats in use today, make the Dolby DP600 ideal for integration into your day-to-day file-based broadcast, OTT, cable, satellite, IPTV, and postproduction workflow environments.
The Dolby Program Optimizer DP600-C offers all the capabilities of the Dolby DP600 base model and adds faster-than-real-time file-based encoding, decoding, conversion, and transcoding between audio formats. It also offers a unique, high-quality, single-step Dolby Digital to Dolby Digital Plus transcoder that preserves the metadata and minimizes tandem coding losses.
Learn about Dolby DP600 and DP600C applications.
Dolby has been at the forefront of developing innovative solutions to overcome loudness problems. Whatever the cause, we can effectively address it. And our solutions work together to ensure the best possible viewer experience.
Provides faster-than-real-time file-based encoding (DP600-C), decoding, and conversion between all Dolby audio formats (Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital, and Dolby E), and PCM, MPEG-1 LII, AAC, and HE AAC v2, while preserving the audio metadata.
Effective speech-based loudness normalization; automatically sets and/or corrects dialnorm values within media files without the need for decoding and reencoding.
Simplifies conversion of archives to next-generation formats. The high-quality, single-step Dolby Digital to Dolby Digital Plus transcoder preserves the metadata and eliminates transcoding losses.
Delivers a more consistent, reliable, and high-quality experience without the need to manually validate and correct each piece of media.
Enhances legacy two-channel content with our unique stereo-to-5.1 algorithm that creates a wider, natural-sounding sweet spot and ensures elimination of artifacts in any subsequent downmixing.
Simplifies integration into existing workflows. You can select a specific profile, and all media files moved to the hot folder will be automatically processed to that profile and delivered to a folder you define.
Simplifies upgrades, system provisioning, maintenance, and operation.
The Dolby DP600 and DP600-C offer considerable potential for integration with third-party systems through an open web services–based API.
