    • The Dolby Media Decoder is a software application that plays files encoded in any of the Dolby audio formats used for optical or online media delivery in sync with the picture.

      • The Dolby® Media Decoder is a part of the Dolby Media Producer Suite, the professional software designed to support all Dolby audio codecs used in mastering Blu-ray Disc™, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, and online streaming and downloadable formats.

        Reference Decoding and Monitoring

        The Dolby Media Decoder supports monitoring of all consumer listening modes, including downmixing and dynamic range control. It is designed to run locally on a single computer to provide playback and decoding for an individual audio room. It also can decode back to PCM files from any Dolby channel-based codec.

        A complete range of software applications for encoding Blu-ray Disc, Ultra HD, file-based and OTT audio content, the Dolby Media Producer Suite includes these applications:

      • Support for Synchronization of Audio and Video Playback

        Supports synchronization with Apple® QuickTime® video files

      • Audio Output

        Supports Core Audio for use with Dolby Atmos encoded files using any Core Audio compatible hardware with qualified Thunderbolt, FireWire, or USB input/output devices
