Dolby Media Encoder SE

Dolby® Media Encoder SE (Stand-alone Edition) is a cost-effective single-computer encoding solution designed for smaller postproduction facilities that prepare audio files for DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, and Blu-ray Disc™ formats. It offers the same high-quality encoding technologies as the network edition, combining powerful mastering features with comprehensive project and file management capabilities. This professional non-real-time software encoder encodes Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and MLP Lossless™ formats.

The encoder supports standard audio source files for encoding in any or all of the supported Dolby formats. It works with existing timecode or permits embedding new, user-definable code. The encoder can generate metadata for all the selected formats. Source and encoded files can be previewed using the preview playback feature. Previously encoded content in either the Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus formats can also be updated using the punch-in feature. Dolby Digital Plus secondary audio encoding supports the importing of AAF files for embedding dynamic mix metadata
