When young Jake Portman leaves his home in Florida to visit the orphanage that his grandfather had often talked about, he lands in a strange and magical place that only director Tim Burton could bring to life onscreen.

"We're what's known in common parlance as 'peculiar,'" says the woman who runs the mysterious home in Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. "Because our abilities don't fit in the outside world, we live in places like this."

    • Eva Green, who plays Miss Peregrine, says, "It's refreshing that a movie says, 'Embrace your uniqueness.'"

    • Among the peculiar children are a girl who can fly, an invisible boy, and twins who share a secret language. Living in a bubble of time that keeps them hidden from the villain who wants to harm them, the children must use their unusual talents to save themselves.

"There's something that's haunting, poetic, beautiful about this world," says Burton.

Dolby Vision™ imaging and Dolby Atmos® sound make Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children even more vivid, building what Vanity Fair calls "Tim Burton's best film in years."
